约翰福音信息之七---如何成为神的儿女(How to become the children of God)

约1:9-13

“那光是真光,照亮一切生在世上的人。祂在世界,世界也是借着祂造的,世界却不认识祂。祂到自己的地方来,自己的人倒不接待祂。凡接待祂的,就是信祂名的人,祂就赐他们权柄,作神的儿女。这等人不是从血气生的,不是从情欲生的,也不是从人意生的,乃是从神生的。”(约1:9-13)

“The true light that gives light to every man was coming into the world. He was in the world, and though the world was made through Him, the world did not recognize Him. He came to that which was His own, but his own did not receive Him. Yet to all who received Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God--children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband's will, but born of God.”


一. 真光来到世界(约1:9)


“那光是真光,照亮一切生在世上的人。”(约1:9)

“The true light that gives light to every man was coming into the world.”(John 1:9)


“那光是真光。”

光的所有功能都在“道”(基督)里面得到彰显。

光驱逐黑暗,基督是真光,凡信靠祂的,就不在黑暗里,而是成为光明之子。光使人看见,基督来使瞎眼的得以看见,使那些坐在黑暗中死荫里的人看见大光。光产生食物,供应人的生理需要,唯有基督是生命之粮,使到祂面前来的人就不再饥渴。光指引方向,但跟从基督的人就不在黑暗里走,必得着生命的光。光给人温暖,基督的话温暖人的心田。光医治疾病,基督是天国大医生,祂是伟大的保惠师,祂从根本上给人带来心灵的医治。

而那真光基督如今来到世界。


和合本圣经将约1:9译为“那光是真光,照亮一切生在世上的人”不够准确,这种译法将现在分词短语(Coming into the world)用来修饰“生在世上的人,”正确的译法如新译本,这一短语用来修饰“真光”(基督)。

“那光来到世界,是普照世人的真光。”(约1:9,新译本)

“The true light that gives light to every man was coming into the world.”(John 1:9,NIV)

“那光来到世界”(The true Light was coming into the world)指向基督的道成肉身,即那位永恒的创造主“道”来到祂自己所创造的世界。


二. 世界拒绝真光(约1:10-11)


“祂在世界,世界也是借着祂造的,世界却不认识祂。祂到自己的地方来,自己的人倒不接待祂。”(约1:10-11)

“He was in the world, and though the world was made through Him, the world did not recognize Him. He came to that which was His own, but His own did not receive him.”(John 1:10-11)


真光,即那位太初之道(基督),祂给人光明,给人满足,给人指引,给人医治。光如此美好,因此当那真光来到世界时,你想这个世界一定是满心期待、热切拥抱地欢迎祂、迎接祂。

存有这样善良的愿望原是好的,但可惜错了,这个世界不但不欢迎祂,反而拒绝祂、抵挡祂、仇恨祂、甚至杀害祂!


“祂在世界,世界也是藉着祂造的,世界却不认识祂。”(约1:10)

这节经文中三次出现“世界”这个字。

第一个“世界,”指“道”所创造的物质世界,“万物是藉着祂造的。”(约1:3)

第二个“世界,”指被造的物质世界以及居住在其中被造的人类。

第三个“世界,”指被魔鬼撒旦所操控的抵挡神的世俗人类体系。因为“全世界都卧在那恶者手下。”(约一5:19)


约翰福音中的“世界,”大多指抵挡神的世人以及他们所构成的社会体系。总体说来,这个由恶者所操纵的世界是抵挡神的:世界的各样宗教体系抵挡神,无神论政权、专制政权抵挡神,极端自由化的世俗世界抵挡神。


为什么世界恨恶真光?

那位真光耶稣基督自己见证说:

“光来到世间,世人因自己的行为是恶的,不爱光倒爱黑暗。”(约3:19)

“This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil.”(John 3:19)


“世人不能恨你们,却是恨我。因为我指证他们所作的事是恶的。”(约7:7)

“The world cannot hate you, but it hates me because I testify that what it does is evil.”(John 7:7)


“世人若恨你们,你们知道恨你们以先,已经恨我了。你们若属世界,世界必爱属自己的。只因你们不属世界。乃是我从世界中拣选了你们,所以世界就恨你们。”(约15:18-19)

“If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you.”(John 15:18-19)


“祂到自己的地方来,自己的人倒不接待祂。”(约1:11)

“He came to that which was His own, but His own did not receive him.”(John 1:11)”


“自己的地方”广义说来,整个宇宙都是祂的,因为是祂造的。但这节经文更可能狭义地指以色列民族。


旧约时代,神曾藉着割礼与亚伯拉罕和他的后裔立约。“我与你立约,你要作多国的父。从此以后,你的名不再叫亚伯兰,要叫亚伯拉罕,因为我已立你作多国的父。我必使你的后裔极其繁多。国度从你而立,君王从你而出。我要与你并你世世代代的后裔坚立我的约,作永远的约,是要作你和你后裔的神。…你们所有的男子,都要受割礼。这就是我与你,并你的后裔所立的约,是你们所当遵守的。你们都要受割礼,这是我与你们立约的证据。”(创17:4-7;10-11)

"As for me, this is my covenant with you: You will be the father of many nations. No longer will you be called Abram; your name will be Abraham, for I have made you a father of many nations. I will make you very fruitful; I will make nations of you, and kings will come from you. I will establish my covenant as an everlasting covenant between me and you and your descendants after you for the generations to come, to be your God and the God of your descendants after you. …This is my covenant with you and your descendants after you, the covenant you are to keep: Every male among you shall be circumcised. You are to undergo circumcision, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and you.”(Gen 17:4-7;10-11)


因此亚伯拉罕肉身的后裔---以色列是神所拣选的神的子民。


“如今你们若实在听从我的话,遵守我的约,就要在万民中作属我的子民,因为全地都是我的。你们要归我作祭司的国度,为圣洁的国民。”(出19:5-6)

“Now if you obey me fully and keep my covenant, then out of all nations you will be my treasured possession. Although the whole earth is mine, you will be for me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.” (Exod 19:5-6)


但神的选民以色列却常常悖逆神。“自从你们列祖出埃及地的那日,直到今日,我差遣我的仆人众先知到你们那里去,每日从早起来差遣他们。你们却不听从,不侧耳而听,竟硬着颈项行恶,比你们列祖更甚。”(耶7:25-26)

“From the time your forefathers left Egypt until now, day after day, again and again I sent you my servants the prophets. But they did not listen to me or pay attention. They were stiff-necked and did more evil than their forefathers.”(Jer 7:25-26)


所以狭义地讲,以色列是神的选民。然而,当基督来到神的以色列民中间,正是以色列民强烈地抵挡祂。

基督诞生时,希律王欲除之而后快,不惜屠杀伯利恒两岁以下所有的男孩。犹太的宗教领袖反对祂,多次商议要捉拿祂、杀害祂。门徒中的犹大出卖祂,众人拒绝祂,嘲笑祂,辱骂祂,最后是犹太人自己将祂交给罗马政权钉祂十字架。


“所以犹太人越发想要杀祂。因祂不但犯了安息日,并且称神为祂的父,将自己和神当作平等。”(约5:18)

“For this reason the Jews tried all the harder to kill him; not only was he breaking the Sabbath, but he was even calling God His own Father, making Himself equal with God.”(John 5:18)


“于是他们拿石头要打祂。”(约8:59)

“At this, they picked up stones to stone Him.” (John 8:59)

“祭司长和差役看见祂,就喊着说,钉祂十字架,钉祂十字架。”(约19:6)

“As soon as the chief priests and their officials saw Him, they shouted, "Crucify! Crucify!"”(John 19:6)


当基督来到世上,不仅外邦人拒绝祂,祂自己的子民更是变本加厉地拒绝祂!


三. 成为神的儿女(约1:12-13)


“凡接待祂的,就是信祂名的人,祂就赐他们权柄,作神的儿女。这等人不是从血气生的,不是从情欲生的,也不是从人意生的,乃是从神生的。”(约1:12-13)

“Yet to all who received Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God--children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband's will, but born of God.”(John 1:12-13)


当基督来到世界时,虽然这个世界总体拒绝祂、敌对祂、反抗祂,但总有一少部分人们信靠祂、热爱祂、跟随祂。正如旧约时代,虽然以色列民族整体是悖逆顶嘴的百姓,但始终有少数的以色列余民信靠敬畏神。


这种“拒绝与接受”交替出现的主题,在约翰福音中一再地重复。


大部分人拒绝:法利赛人,祭司长文士等犹太宗教领袖,吃饼得饱的众人,叛徒犹大,亚那该亚法,兵丁和差役,犹太众人,巡抚彼拉多,罗马兵丁…


少部分人接受:施洗约翰、门徒、尼哥底母、撒马利亚人,大臣的全家,生来瞎眼的人,马大姐弟,几个希腊人,亚利马太的约瑟,抹大拉的马利亚…


“凡接待祂的,就是信祂名的人,祂就赐他们权柄,作神的儿女。”(约1:12)

“Yet to all who received Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God.” (John 1:12)


在大部分人拒绝抵挡真光的人群中,竟然有一小部分人愿意相信接受祂,从而成为神的儿女。

如何成为神的儿女?

那些从神生的人,就是神的儿女。从神生的,就是指重生。

有关重生的教义,耶稣基督在约翰福音第三章与尼哥底母的谈话中有详细的论述,在这一段圣经中,使徒约翰还是大体交代了重生的涵义。


根据约1:9-13这段经文,重生包括以下几项内容:


1. 光照

“那光来到世界,是普照世人的真光。”(约1:9,新译本)

“The true light that gives light to every man was coming into the world.”(John 1:9)

世人都死在自己的罪恶过犯之中,死人自己无法对外在事物发生反应,他或她必须先要蒙光照复活过来。


“因为一切能显明的,就是光。所以主说,你这睡着的人,当醒过来,从死里复活,基督就要光照你了。”(弗5:13-14)

“For it is light that makes everything visible. This is why it is said: "Wake up, O sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you."”(Eph 5:13-14)


这个世界上有许多人宁愿做属灵的瞎眼。“此等不信之人,被这世界的神弄瞎了心眼,不叫基督荣耀福音的光照着他们。”(林后4:4)

“The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ.”(2 Cor 4:4)


所以你要渴慕光,爱光,祷告求那真光光照你的心,以至使你属灵的眼睛打开得以看见。


2. 接待


“凡接待祂的,…祂就赐他们权柄,作神的儿女。”(约1:12)

“Yet to all who received Him, … He gave the right to become children of God.”(John 1:12)


“接待”(Receiving),含有“欢迎、款待、礼遇、迎接、招待、服侍”等意思,通常指“欢喜快乐、发自内心、真诚无伪地迎接和款待。”


创世记十八章记载,亚伯拉罕看见三位天使(当然有一位是耶和华神自己),就“跑去迎接他们,”(创18:2)然后,为他们预备水洗脚,并吩咐妻子撒拉用细面调和做饼,并自己亲自挑选一只又嫩又好的牛犊,吩咐仆人预备好了,又取来奶油和奶,都一并摆在天使面前,自己在树下站在旁边伺候,用真诚和爱心招待他们。所以,希伯来书的作者称赞亚伯拉罕说,他用爱心接待客旅,“不知不觉就接待了天使。”(来13:2)


路加福音十九章,耶稣对爬在桑树上的撒该说,“今天我必住在你家里。”(路19:5)

(“I must stay at your house today.”)(Luke 19:5)


圣经形象生动地记载说,“他就急忙下来,欢欢喜喜地接待耶稣。”(路19:6)

“So he came down at once and welcomed him gladly.”(Luke 19:6)


亚伯拉罕,撒该,他们所做的,都最好地解释了“招待”一词的涵义。

若有人用与亚伯拉罕和撒该同样的态度对待耶稣基督,就是“接待祂的”、欢喜快乐地迎接祂了。


3. 相信


“…,就是信祂名的人,祂就赐他们权柄,作神的儿女。”(约1:12)

“…Yet to all who received Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God.” (John 1:12)


“信祂名的人。”

“信”(believing),不是指“泛泛地了解、知道”(get some information)而已。

“信耶稣”包括如下涵义:

承认祂的宣称(Acknowledge His claim),

承认祂是救主(Confess Him as Savior),

愿意将自己交托于祂(Entrust yourself to Him),

降服于祂(Surrender to Him),

信靠祂(Trust in Him),顺服祂(Obey Him),

跟随祂(Follow Him)等。


主耶稣对那个生来瞎眼得医治的人说,

“‘你信神的儿子吗?’他回答说,‘主阿,谁是神的儿子,叫我信祂呢?’ 耶稣说,‘你已经看见祂,现在和你说话的就是祂。’ 他说,‘主阿,我信。’就拜耶稣。”(约9:35-38)

“"Do you believe in the Son of Man?" "Who is he, sir?" the man asked. "Tell me so that I may believe in Him." Jesus said, "You have now seen Him; in fact, He is the one speaking with you." Then the man said, "Lord, I believe," and he worshiped Him.”)”(John 9:35-38)


复活后的主耶稣对彼得说,“我实实在在地告诉你,你年少的时候,自己束上带子,随意往来,但年老的时候,你要伸出手来,别人要把你束上,带你到不愿意去的地方。耶稣说这话,是指着彼得要怎样死荣耀神。说了这话,就对他说,你跟从我吧。”(约21:18-19)

““I tell you the truth, when you were younger you dressed yourself and went where you wanted; but when you are old you will stretch out your hands, and someone else will dress you and lead you where you do not want to go." Jesus said this to indicate the kind of death by which Peter would glorify God. Then He said to him, "Follow Me!"”(John 21:18-19)


这才叫做“信”!

“信祂名的人。”

“名”不仅是人与人区别时的一个称呼而已,在耶稣时代,“名”包括这个“名”所代表的。“信祂名”指相信祂的“名”所代表、所包含的一切。


在约1-13的经文中,祂的名包括(His Name indludes):

“道”(Word),“神”(God),“生命”(Life),“光”(Light)等;


在圣经其他书卷,祂的名字还有许多,包括:

“耶稣”(Jesus),“基督”(Christ),“弥赛亚”(Messiah),“救主”(Savior),“神的儿子”(The Son of God),“人子”(Son of Man),“以马内利”(Immanuel),“奇妙”(Wonderful),“策士”(Counselor),“生命之粮”(The Bread of Life),“活水之泉”(Spring of Living Water),“世界之光”(The Light of the world),“神的羔羊”(The Lamb of God),“大祭司”( The High Priest),“万主之主”(The Lord of lords),“万王之王”(The King of kings)…


“信祂名”包括相信耶稣基督上述所有名字所代表的全部涵义。因此,“相信”(Believe)是一种包括理智(intellectual )、情感(Emotional)和意志(Volitional)在内的一种交托和委身的行动!


如果有人欢喜接待祂,相信祂的名,祂就赐给他们权柄,成为神的儿女。

如果你有幸成为英国皇室的一名成员,如果你成为美国总统的家族(比如布什家族或肯尼迪家族)成员,如果你成为国家主席的家族成员,你都情不自禁地感到与有荣焉,更何况成为万王之王、万主之主的儿女呢?


4. 重生


“这等人不是从血气生的,不是从情欲生的,也不是从人意生的,乃是从神生的。”(约1:13)

“Children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband's will, but born of God.”(John 1:13)


哪些人能够成为神的儿女?

成为神的儿女,不是靠家族血统、不是靠个人意志、不是靠他人安排,他或她必须是由神生的,也就是重生的意思。


正如人的自然出生(natural birth)不是由人自己决定的一样,人的重生(Supernatural Birth or New Birth)更不是由自己决定的,乃是由神生(born of God)的。


在旧约时代,以色列民被称为神的子民,外邦人属于局外人。“那时你们与基督无关,在以色列国民以外,在所应许的诸约上是局外人。并且活在世上没有指望,没有神。”(弗2:12)

“Remember that at that time you were separate from Christ, excluded from citizenship in Israel and foreigners to the covenants of the promise, without hope and without God in the world.”(Eph 2:14)


旧约时代外邦人如果想要成为以色列人,必须通过三种方式:靠出生、靠割礼、靠婚嫁。这正是约1:13 所说的情形。

“这等人不是从血气生的,不是从情欲生的,也不是从人意生的,乃是从神生的。”(约1:13)

“Who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.”(John 1:13)(NASB)


“不是从血气生的”(not of blood),不是通过自然出生或家族血统就自动成为神的儿女;

“不是从情欲生的”(not of the will of flesh),不是通过割礼或个人努力就能成为神的儿女;

“不是从人意生的”(not of the will of man),不是通过嫁娶的婚嫁方式自动成为神的儿女。

套用在今天的时代和语境,不是因为你有一对儿基督徒父母你就自动成为基督徒,不是靠你个人努力行善做好事就自动成为基督徒,也不是通过人为的宗教体系或特殊宗教仪式你就自动成为基督徒。乃是你必须由圣灵重生,你才成为神的儿女。


“你们得救是本乎恩,也因着信,这并不是出于自己,乃是神所赐的。也不是出于行为,免得有人自夸。”(弗2:8-9)

“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God--not by works, so that no one can boast.”(Eph 2:8-9)


“你看父赐给我们是何等的慈爱,使我们得称为神的儿女。”(约一3:1)

“How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! ”(1 John 3:1)


最后,根据今天所研读的约1:9-13五节经文,愿每个人都认真地询问自己如下五个问题:


我是否接受了基督真光的光照?

我是否发自内心地真正认识祂?

我是否真的欢喜快乐地接待祂?

我是否已真的蒙受圣灵的重生?

我是否确实已经成为神的儿女?


如果这些答案是否定的,圣灵默示使徒约翰给我们一个简单实用的秘诀:


“凡接待祂的,就是信祂名的人,祂就赐他们权柄,作神的儿女。”(约1:12)

“Yet to all who received Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God.”(John 1:12)
